MISSOULA — The only thing that will be different today compared to previous days this week will be some increasing cloud cover this afternoon and continuing into Friday morning. Other than that expect highs in the 70s and dry weather to continue.
One thing of note, smoke located high in the atmosphere has moved into Oregon and Washington. This looks to move into western Montana today, however, it will mainly be perceived as a visual haze that is more likely to add color to the sunset than affect air quality or visibility.
High pressure will continue through next week. Right now, models don't have the ridge breaking down until next weekend. Thus it seems unlikely the area will measure any new precipitation until after October 10.
