MISSOULA — High pressure comes to an end in Western Montana this week.

There are still a few areas of inversions keeping valleys cooler.

Flathead and Mission valleys are also seeing fog and freezing fog which will make for some isolated slick spots on roadways.

A weaker weather system is moving in, and inversions will break.

Temperatures will warm up as we head into the midweek point.

Highs will start in the mid to upper 30s and low 40s!

We are also tracking moisture moving in.

Our snowpack took a hit under this strong ridge of high pressure.

We are now seeing mountains at or below average.

This will all change with an extended outlook of wetter weather on the way.

Mountains will see snow, but valleys will see a mix of rain and snow on and off this week.

We will be tracking slick roadways as the main impact of this system.
