What’s better than a fresh slice of cheesecake? Cheesecake in a jar! Aldi is rolling out a super-portable version of your favorite dessert, and it sounds delightful.

The Jar Joy snacks come in strawberry and cookies and cream flavors and were spotted by Instagrammer @TheAmazing Aldi.

“These beautiful little cheesecakes are now available @aldiusa for a limited time so grab them before they’re gone!” reads the caption. “The all-natural cheesecakes come in strawberry and cookies and cream (better try both) and are small business/women-owned so let’s show them our support!”

The post also notes that you can freeze these little jars for up to a year.

The jars are in this week’s Aldi Finds for $1.99, but it notes that the little desserts may not be available at all locations.

Jar Joy is operated by Florida-based TBC Batter Co., owned by Sarah and Shawn Hunt. A post on their page indicates that the cheesecakes are available at all Aldi stores for a limited time as of Jan. 29:

Their site indicates that they also offer a third cheesecake flavor, Triple Chocolate, as well as three flavors of another dessert, Pie in a Jar: Lemon Blueberry Crumble, Key Lime and Harvest Pumpkin.

Small and portable container desserts seem all the rage right now. If you go into Costco, for example, you can get Dessert Italiano Tiramisu cups, which are 3 ounces each! Or you can get Pots and Co desserts at places like Costco, Albertson’s and Safeway. This U.K.-based company serves up plenty of flavors, but Americans may have the best luck finding their chocolate fudge lava cake.

Here’s a post from their Instagram showing some of their cute offerings:

Of course, you could always make your own desserts in a jar! If you’re looking to replicate this idea, check out Kitchen Treaty‘s recipe for Key Lime Pie in a Jar or Will Cook for Smiles’ No-Bake Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake Pie in a Jar.

These adorable desserts in a jar would be perfect as party favors as well as when you want an indulgent snack on the go. Will you give them a try?
