‘Masked Singer’ Season 2 costumes include a flamingo and a leopard

The second season of Fox’s “The Masked Singer” will be embracing its animal instincts — or at least it will if the new costumes for the celebrity singing competition series are any indication.

Two new teasersfor the hit show have people dressed as a magenta flamingo, an emerald-eyed leopard, a proud eagle and more.

The costumes, which are overseen by “So You Think You Can Dance” costume designer Marina Toybina, famously added to the spectacle and buzz around the show when it premiered in January. These sparkly distractions had the power to make well-known names shape-shift into an alien, a poodle or other species in an attempt to distract viewers and a panel of judges from being able to recognize their singing and dancing abilities (or, in some cases, “singing and dancing”).

Rapper T-Pain, who spent the season dressed as a furry blue monster, was crowned the winner.

The first season had 12 contestants. For season two, Fox is upping the ante to 16.

As to which celebrities will be wearing these new elaborate creations? For that, we’ll have to wait until the hit show returns on September 25.
