Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has said he’s not joining the 2020 race for the White House, but he still sounds like he’d be a great candidate.

The “Hobbs & Shaw” star appeared on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday and passionately discussed his efforts to help preserve a volcano many see as sacred in his former home state of Hawaii.

“When you have human beings who are hurting, any culture around the world, that’s our indication that we’ve got to stop,” he said. “Let’s be considerate, let’s be empathetic, and let’s always take care of our people. At the end of the day, it always comes down to that: taking care of the people.”

Johnsonjoined protesters last month who are trying to stop the construction of a giant telescope on Mauna Kea, Hawaii’s tallest mountain.

“I wanted to come here and see our people and stand with them and support them,” Johnson told journalists, CNN affiliate KGMB/KHNL reported.

Johnson is trying to bring awareness to the legal battle, which has been going on for years.
