Bakersfield, CA (KERO) — Crews rescued three men from the Kern River Saturday evening, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

Rescue crews responded to the group’s location near Lake Ming at about 5:45 p.m. and found them stuck on an island in the river.

KCSO told 23ABC News that the men were pulled to safety around 6:30 p.m. and none were injured.

Officials were not able to confirm how long the men were stuck or how they got there.

This comes a week after an 11-year-old Bakersfield girl went missing in the Kern River near the Keyesville area.

Officials announced that the search for the 11-year-old girl is a body recovery.

Kern County Rescue and Search officials urge the public to proceed with extreme caution when entering the river.
