Woodland, CA (KCRA) — A Woodland man celebrated his 100th birthday over the weekend by doing what he loves — bowling.
Andy Anderson was born on June 29, 1919. He turned 100 on Saturday.
During his lifetime, Anderson served in WWII and was awarded several medals, including a purple heart.
In recent years, Anderson has spent every Tuesday afternoon bowling with the Senior Bowling League.
This Thursday, Anderson is being honored by the Oakland A’s. He will be throwing out the first pitch for the team’s Fourth of July game.
Anderson said his secret to living a long life is to hug someone every day, love people and to not get too mad.
