Riverside, CA (KTLA) — Riverside police on Wednesday are looking for two toddlers and their mother’s boyfriend, who’s suspected of taking them after a domestic dispute.

Joshua Adle, 24, took 18-month-old Darla Yonko and 8-month-old Emma Yonko without their mother’s consent on Tuesday night, according to investigators.

Adle and the mother, who live together in the 3100 block of Grace Street, had been in a verbal and physical altercation between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. before the woman put her children to bed and left the home, police said. She came back just before 11 p.m. to find her boyfriend and children gone.

Adle took the children’s identification documents and other items, according to police.

“He told the mother he was going to a local business with the children but was never located, and never returned home,” a statement from Riverside police said. They believe he could be traveling to Texas or Michigan with them.

Police said Adle took the children in his 1982 blue, four-door Cadillac with a white top. The vehicle has stock-wired spoke wheels with thin, white-walled tires. It has no license plate.

Authorities described Adle as 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 170 pounds with black hair, hazel eyes, a mustache and a thin beard. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored sleeveless T-shirt.

Darla is 2 feet, 6 inches tall and about 30 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen in long-sleeved footie pajamas with purple stars. Emma is 2 feet tall and about 18 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing long-sleeved footie pajamas with white and yellow lemons.

Authorities did not plan to send out an Amber Alert because there is no license plate or “enough suspicion to believe the boyfriend may harm the children,” Officer Ryan Railsback told KTLA.

California Highway Patrol did issue an endangered missing advisory for Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts should immediately call Riverside police at 951-354-2007 and mention the reference report number 190021803 or dial 911.
