MISSOULA – This week’s One Class at a Time winner is Hellgate Elementary School Broadcasting and Technology teacher Jamie Blixt.
KPAX-TV General Manager Bob Hermes awarded her with a $250 check sponsored by KPAX-TV and Republic Services.
Blixt says she will be using the money to buy iPad tripods for her seventh and eighth-grade students.
She says each of her students has their own iPad to use in the classroom, and they spend a large part of the time on the device filming.
The tripods will allow the students to make better quality videos.
“With these tripods, students will not only be able to film — use their iPads for filming — but then they will also be able to have more freedom to film outside the classroom,” Blixt said.
