MISSOULA – This week’s One Class at a Time winner is Washington Middle School sixth grade teacher Lissa Olinger.
KPAX-TV General Manager Bob Hermes presented Olinger a $250 check sponsored by Republic Services and KPAX-TV.
Olinger is using the money to purchase maps for her history class students. Students will use the maps to explore and discuss the impact of geography both historically and in the present day.
“I hope the students are able to have well-rounded discussions around how geography impacts this area, not just in the past, but currently,” Olinger said.
