MISSOULA — Meadow Hill Middle School Counselor Beth Ann Chambers is our One Class at a Time grant winner for Oct. 22, 2019.

Republic Services Municipal Manager Chad Bauer and KPAX-TV General Manager Bob Hermes awarded Chambers a $250 check which will be used in the development of a social emotional learning curriculum for sixth, seventh and eighth grade students.

A school support team is currently working on building a curriculum that can be taught in each classroom once a week. Chambers says this will bring something to each student that isn't taught in math, science, or other subjects, with the goal of supporting student success.

“Social emotional learning is what helps people be successful in life, careers, school. So, we want to be able to have some funds to support that curriculum as we develop it," Chambers said.
