FLATHEAD VALLEY — The Whitefish Community Foundation has launched the 12th annual Great Fish Community Challenge, giving the community one month to support 89 local nonprofits.
Donations will be partially matched by the foundation, multiplying the impact of each gift.
Whitefish Community Foundation President and CEO Alan Davis said the campaign has grown every year, and he hopes this year is no different.
"Last year $8.1 million was raised, that's a lot of money. Every year we want to do a little bit better than that so we'll just have to see. We really hope people are inspired to give back and we can raise more than $8 million this year."
