BANNACK – Crews are battling a lightning-caused fire that’s burned over 150 acres south of the historic town of Bannack.

The blaze — which is 0% contained — is burning in grass, sagebrush and timber in Beaverhead County.

Firefighters are working to establish a containment line along the northern edge to keep the fire from advancing.

There are approximately 60 personnel on scene including two helicopters and the Helena Hotshots.

Additionally, the Lima Volunteer Fire Department has contained a small fire south of Clark Canyon Reservoir near the Bible Camp.

Fire managers also report that two fires were found in the Cabin Creek area southeast of Dillon in the Blacktail area.  One fire was 1/10 of an acre and has been contained.  The other fire was one acre.
