MISSOULA — Happy Friday!
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day! For those not working today, you can expect a very nice day off. All of western Montana should experience a good deal of sunshine with slightly above average temperatures for late November. Most will see highs range from the upper 30s to lower 40s. In fact, a few locations may even see mid- 40s this afternoon. Looking ahead toward the weekend and beyond, we’re expecting a stretch of dry days.
Saturday will bring much of the same as today, as we’ll see. It’s sun than clouds with highs reaching the upper 30s to lower 40s. An upper level ridge will settle into the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies. Over time, with the low sun angle we see this time of year, we’ll start to see strong valley inversions set up over the valleys. As we head into next week, that will likely bring a low stratus cloud-deck and chilly highs. Air quality will deteriorate under our cloudy, chilly, and dry conditions. We can expect highs in the 30s with lows in the 20s for most, if not all of next week.
Have a fantastic Friday!
