Search and Rescue crews help man near Gold Creek

MISSOULA — Missoula Search and Rescue helped transport a 56-year-old man to a local hospital on Sunday.

The Missoula County Sheriffs Office reports they received a call that someone in the Gold Creek area needed help at around 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Missoula County Search and Rescue -- along with other agencies -- responded to the area west of Missoula.

The man was able to reach search and rescue crews with the snowmobile group he was with and was taken to an area hospital.

There's no word on his medical condition at this time.

Missoula County Search and Rescue is assisting a 56-year-old man in the Gold Creek area.

The man is experiencing medical issues, according to law enforcement.

He has a cell phone and has been in contact with law enforcement since around 11:30 Sunday morning.

The Bureau of Land Management, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, the US Forest Service, Two Bear Air, and local fire departments are also providing assistance.
