MISSOULA – The evolution of technology in the classroom from the chalkboard to the whiteboard and beyond continues and this week’s One Class at a Time winner is ready to take that next step.

Cold Springs Elementary School second grade teacher Carla Boehmler has been searching for the funds necessary to bring an iPad into the classroom. She says an Ipad will help her students with accessing modules, recording, and various experiments, and can be used in all subjects.

Thanks to Republic Services and KPAX-TV, Boehmler can now purchase an iPad for her students. Republic Services Marketing Manager Chad Bauer and KPAX-TV General Manager Bob Hermes presented Boehmler a $250 grant.

“Students will be able to have that connectivity by showing their work for the class to see with this type of technology, and it also just increases their technology knowledge," Boehmler said.
