MISSOULA – Roadwork on Interstate 90 is starting up once again west of Missoula.

Work on the Interstate 90 East project near the Huson and Frenchtown communities will require closing the left lanes of I-90 for median work, resulting in a traffic switch for eastbound traffic.

Depending on the weather, traffic will be moved to the westbound lanes beginning either April 5 or April 6, according to the Montana Department of Transportation. The traffic pattern will remain throughout the duration of the project this summer, with completion anticipated in August.

MDT reports short delays should be expected in the area.

Drivers looking for continual updates about the Huson/I-90 East project are advised to sign up for weekly email updates. SMS texting updates are also available by texting “Huson” to 41411. Regular updates will be sent once construction begins.
