A westbound train carrying grain derailed on Saturday around 5:30 a.m. near Oswego, which is about 12 miles west of Wolf Point along Highway 2.
According to Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Public Affairs Director Ross Lane, approximately 30 cars derailed.
The train was not carrying hazardous materials and no injuries were reported.
BNSF crews are on-site removing damaged cars and making necessary repairs to the track.
Lane stated that work at the site is expected to take at least 24 hours due to challenging weather conditions such as cold temperatures and snow.
