THOMPSON FALLS – There may be a disruption in 911 service tonight in Sanders County.
The Sanders County Sheriff’s Office says a disruption of four-to-six hours will take place sometime between 10 p.m. on Tuesday and 5 p.m. on Wednesday as they replace fiber optic lines.
Lt. Shawna Chenoweth says that while the Sanders County 911 system is down emergency calls will be handled by Lake County. It should be noted residents will still be able to text 911 or call (406) 827-3584 ext. 3 for assistance while the local 911 lines are out of service.
