FRENCHTOWN – A California man died in a vehicle rollover accident early Thursday morning near Frenchtown.
A Montana Highway Patrol dispatcher tells MTN News that the accident happened around 12:35 a,m, at the intersection of Frenchtown Frontage Road and Broken Arrow Lane near Frenchtown.
The dispatcher says the 54-year-old man was traveling west on the Frenchtown Frontage Road when he drove off the road while negotiating a left-hand curve. The driver then over-corrected causing his pickup truck to roll over.
The victim was taken to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula where he died. He was the only person in the pick-up truck and authorities say drugs are suspected in this crash.
The MHP is continuing to investigate the crash.
