BUTTE – What’s in a name? Well, for Montana Tech it is everything.
Administrators at the Butte school is now is considering changing its name.
The name changes were recommended by a Montana Tech committee that was formed last year to refocus the university’s future goals.
The names being considered are Montana Technological University, Montana University of Science and Technology or Montana University of Science Engineering and Technology.
The committee will host a series of public hearings in the coming weeks before deciding on a name.
