FRENCHTOWN – Long-time Frenchtown sixth grade teacher Bette Paskey lost her courageous battle with brain cancer on Saturday.
Bette was diagnosed with brain cancer last November. She spent 39 years in Frenchtown as a teacher, mentor, parent, and active community member.
The Frenchtown community rallied around Bette and her family after her diagnoses by hosting numerous fundraisers, which MTN News reported on back in February.
A memorial service and reception will be held at Frenchtown High School on Wednesday, April 18 beginning at 1:30 p.m. All students will be released early on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.
