SEELEY LAKE–Flooding is happening in the Seeley Lake area and along the Highway 83 corridor.

A flood warning was issued Monday afternoon by the National Weather Service, for the Potomac and Seeley Lake region.

Near Seeley Lake in the C Street area, rural roads are already underwater and flodowaters have reached homes.

Meanwhile south of town in the Placid Lake area, residents have piled sandbags along the edges of structures they are trying to protect from the rising flood waters.

At the Missoula County satellite office north of Seeley Lake, there are sandbags available on a first come first serve basis.

The flood warning remains in effect until Tuesday morning.
