DeSmet School seeking levy to add new gym and classroom facilities

MISSOULA – DeSmet School district on the west side of Missoula is requesting a building reserve levy to add a regulation gym and classroom facilities.

The building reserve levy is in the amount of $325,000 per year for 15 years for a total of $4,875,000.

Passage of this proposal will increase the annual taxes on a home with a market value of $100,000 by approximately $68.82 and on a home assessed at $200,000 by approximately $137.64

Ballots must be submitted either by 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 8 either at one of the drop off locations or at the Elections Center at the Missoula Fairgrounds. No post marks will be accepted.

Ballots can be dropped-off at the following locations:

  • Bonner School
  • Frenchtown Elementary,
  • Lolo Elementary 
  • Seeley Lake Elementary 
  • Rattlesnake Elementary 
  • Franklin School
