Montana inmate dies after apparent suicide

BILLINGS – A Montana prison inmate has died at a Billings hospital following what authorities describe as an "apparent suicide attempt."

Christopher Huntsman, 36, died Tuesday after he was found unresponsive in a cell at the Dawson County Correction Facility in Glendive, according to a press release issued Thursday by the Montana Department of Corrections.

An autopsy will be performed, according to the press release. No further information was provided about the circumstances of Huntsman’s death.

Huntsman had felony convictions for theft, criminal endangerment and aggravated assault.
