MISSOULA – This week’s One Class at a Time Winner is searching for non-fiction text for her classroom.
On Tuesday morning, KPAX –TV General Manager Bob Hermes presented Paxson Elementary 5th grade teacher Lori Grant with a $250 check sponsored by Republic Services and KPAX-TV.
Grant says she will use it to buy supplemental text for her social studies book.
She says her students will benefit from additional detailed background information on the material covered with the standard book.
“Our social studies book provides a nice basic foundation. It doesn’t really go into depth for the kids, so I’m looking at providing some non-fiction text that really allows them to do further research and really get engaged and be active with the text,” Grant said.
