MISSOULA – Multiple agencies responded to reports of a man jumping off of the Orange Street Bridge late Thursday morning.

The Missoula Police Department and the Missoula City Fire Department responded to the call and paramedics were also on scene.

Officials say the unidentified man was pulled out of the river by city firefighters near the Taco Johns located on Broadway.

He was transported to an area hospital as a precautionary measure with what are said to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Recreation in the river is closed downstream and officials say that while the area near Orange Street is not closed, it is highly dangerous.

They ask that no one recreate anywhere in the river for your own safety.
