Missing Martin City man found

HELENA – The Montana Department of Justice has canceled the Missing/Endangered Person Advisory that was issued Wednesday for Chris Byrd, 70, of Martin City.

Authorities report that Byrd was found safe on Wednesday night in Eureka. No further information is available at this time.

The Montana Department of Justice has issued a Missing/Endangered Person Advisory for 70-year-old Chris Byrd of Martin City, which is near Hungry Horse.

Byrd is driving a silver Honda Civic with the Montana license plate 733643B and may be headed to Spokane or Glacier National Park.

He is 5’11" tall, weighs 170 pounds, and bald with green eyes. He has a wound and bandage on his head from a mole removal.

He was last seen around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Byrd has dementia and a pacemaker and due to his medical conditions, there is concern he may be endangered.
