MISSOULA – Missoula County teams are continuing to gather info on flood damage, as they start putting together the info that will help develop recovery plans.

Search and Rescue teams are helping to gather the info from areas that have been difficult to assess with the extremely high waters of the past couple of weeks. Authorities are hoping to get a better picture of what’s happened in the flood zones while the river is at a somewhat lower level.

While roughly the evacuees from 60 homes are being allowed to visit their properties now, flood responders are asking folks to not stay overnight and to wait to begin recovery efforts until the waters recede more.

The Clark Fork River is expected to rise and hold at just below 12-feet the second half of the week.
