MISSOULA – The Missoula County Clerk of District Courts will be switching to a new online system June 4. The process could delay their office for up to three weeks.

The District Court office asks that unless it is a necessity that you allow their office time to switch systems. This means that unless you absolutely need a marriage license, to file court documents or to open a new case that you wait until the week of June 25 to do so.

Years of planning have gone into the process that is being oversaw by the Montana Supreme Court and the office staff is prepared for the delays.

Clerk of District Court Shirley Faust says this staff in particular can step up to the challenge.

"I have an amazing staff and they are really dedicated to providing a really good high level of service to the public and their pretty tech savvy so they will pick it up relatively quickly so I’m not concerned about that but its easier to pick things up when you can focus on the new system versus assisting customers," Faust said.
