KALISPELL – A Bigfork man died after colliding with a tree on Friday night.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports the fatal crash happened just before 9 p.m. on Friday when a 57-year-old driving a Chevy Camaro on Montana Highway 35 near the intersection of Montana Highway 83 lost control of his vehicle.
The Camaro swerved off the road before the driver over-corrected and went into oncoming traffic. The vehicle then went into a ditch and through a barbed-wire fence before colliding with a tree.
MHP reports alcohol and speed are suspected factors in this incident. The name of the victim has not been released.
