MISSOULA – There is still no sign of the man who went missing on Saturday afternoon in the Clark Fork River east of Missoula.

The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office said the 70-year-old man went missing around 2 p.m. in a stretch of the river between Clinton and Turah.

Officials said two people were in the boat when it overturned. One person was swept underneath while the other individual made it to safety.

Deputies along with members of Missoula County Search and Rescue are involved in the search, which resumed on Sunday morning.

Authorities say it’s not safe at this time for divers to enter the water as the water is still dangerous due to flooding.

The identity of the man has not been released. We will have more information on this story as it becomes available.
