Woman found dead near Lowell School in suspected hit and run

Around 2:26 a.m. Missoula City Police and emergency responders received reports of a woman laying in the road near Lowell School on Phillips. They arrived to find the 22-year-old woman dead. 
Detectives, Montana Highway Patrol and accident investigators were called to the scene. Sargent Jerry Odlin with the Missoula City Police Department said it appears that the woman was struck by a vehicle. This morning they issued a search warrant in the area of North Russell in relation to this case. The name of the victim has not yet been released and the investigation is still ongoing .
