MISSOULA – Local emergency managers are reporting that water levels in Missoula again are on the rise.

An alert has been issued by Missoula County Emergency Management due to overland flooding and pooling ground water in the Tower and Kehrwald area.

The recent rainfall is also causing local river levels to rise and the Clark Fork River above Missoula is expected to crest late Wednesday morning.

County officials note that flooding impacts to wells and septic tanks are a concern.

Filled sandbags may be picked up at Fort Missoula now.

Residents are being urged not to drive through or enter flooded areas.
