Stevensville gears up for big 4th of July celebration

STEVENSVILLE – The town of Stevensville is going all out to celebrate the 4th of July with a day filled with fun and festivities at Lewis & Clark Park!

The celebration begins at 12 p.m. on Wednesday with the annual pig roast Pignic hosted by the Stevensville Civic Club and Stevensville Fire Department. Everyone is welcome to attend the community picnic and to bring side dishes to share 

The SkateJam begins at 3 p.m. when skaters will compete for prizes sponsored by The Living Center and Discovery Care Center, Board of Missoula, Montana Skatepark Association, Burnt Fork Market and Valley Drug and Variety. The Skate Club will provide burgers and hotdogs into the evening.

Ice cream will be offered up at 6 p.m. for ice cream provided by Montana Life Ministries.

The Stevensville town pool will be open from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. on July 4th for everyone to enjoy. Open Swim will be held from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.; adult swim takes place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.; family night swim runs from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Click here for more information.

The fireworks will begin at 10:30 p.m. hosted by Town of Stevensville with the Stevensville Fire Department and is sponsored by Fort Owen Ranch and Farmers State Bank. 

It should be noted that fireworks are only allowed to be discharged between the hours of 6 p.m. and midnight on July 3rd and from 8 a.m. until midnight on July 4 th within the Stevensville City Limits.
