LOLO PASS – An Alberton man was flown to a Missoula hospital on Wednesday afternoon after crashing his motorcycle near the Idaho/Montana state line.
The Idaho State Police reports Mark L. Armstrong, 55, was traveling west on US Highway 12 at milepost 169.8 on his 2013 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a left curve, went on the right shoulder and hit gravel.
Armstrong then lost control of his motorcycle, struck a concrete barrier and was thrown from the motorcycle. ISP reports that Armstrong was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Highway 12 was blocked for approximately 30 minutes while Life Flight landed.
