MISSOULA – A 25-year-old man is facing three felony charges, including attempted assault with a weapon, following an altercation with his neighbors on Monday.

Jordan Underwood was arrested after Missoula County Sheriff’s deputies say he got into an altercation with his neighbors that turned violent while he was heavily intoxicated.

Underwood reportedly went into his home and retrieved a firearm. Court documents say he then pointed it at his neighbors before aimed it toward the sky and firing a shot into the air.

Deputies say they found Underwood in his trailer unarmed when they responded to the scene, but found a .45 pistol in the trailer.

According to court documents, Underwood had a blood alcohol level of .229 and admitted to getting into a fight with his neighbors but said that they started it.

He also told police that he retrieved the gun because his neighbor “had the height advantage and I didn’t like that and kind of wanted him away from me.”
