DARBY – Crews are continuing to make good progress containing the Reynolds Lake fire.
The lightning-sparked blaze did not grow on Friday and remains at 1,068 acres and is 5% contained.
Fire managers report crews are working to construct hand lines around the west and north sides of the fire with a firehouse along 75% of the west perimeter.
Helicopters assisted with bucket work Friday to help control fire spread and limit growth. However, fire retardant was not used on Friday.
There are now 240 people assigned to battle the lightning-sparked fire which is near the Reynolds Lake trailhead,
There are no structures threatened at this time and the fire is burning in a very remote location.
