TROY – An Oregon woman who was killed in a vehicle crash on Friday night in Lincoln County has been identified.

Montana Highway Patrol Sergeant Neil Duram reports that at approximately 6:15 p.m. Friday, he responded to a one-vehicle rollover on Highway 56 near mile marker 21.3, south of Troy.

Duram says that the northbound Ford Explorer drifted off the left side of the roadway in a right corner and overturned as it re-entered the roadway. The driver, 37-year-old Kimberly White of Beaverton, Oregon, was ejected and died as a result of injuries sustained in this collision. The passenger, 33-year-old Duston Fry of Thompson Falls, was trapped within the vehicle and was extricated by emergency personnel.

Fry was flown to Coeur d’Alene where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.

Duram says that speed appears to be a factor in this crash. It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs are also a factor, although blood samples have been gathered and will be tested at the Montana State Crime Lab.
