RONAN – The public is being asked to help tribal fire officials as wildfires continue to flare up on the Flathead Indian Reservation

The CSKT Division of fire reports they have responded to several recent new fire starts, including four that were human-caused.

Crews from several agencies were able to get on these fires fairly quick and keep them relatively small.

However, a couple of the human-caused fires were suspicious in nature.

Anyone who sees any suspicious acts or abandoned campfires is asked to call 1-800-47-ARSON.

Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible and may be eligible for a cash reward.

Information can also be reported to officials online here.

The CSKT Division of Fire is also issuing a reminder that it is illegal to burn debris at this time.

The fire danger on the Flathead Indian Reservation is listed as "very high".
