CUT BANK – A freight train derailed near Cut Bank on Thursday afternoon.
Burlington Northern Santa Fe spokesman Ross Lane says that the incident happened at about 1:23 p.m.
One dozen rail cars derailed carrying grain jumped the tracks.
Lane says that there were no injuries or hazardous materials involved.
The cause of the derailment is being investigated.
There is no word yet on when the track will re-open.
