MOLT – Cooler temperatures over the weekend helped in the battle against the Medicine Man Fire that is burning near Molt.
The blaze is now estimated at 550 acres with fire managers reporting that it’s about 85% contained.
The fire started on Thursday evening and was likely sparked by a lightning strike.
Interim DES coordinator Kent O’Donnell said they hope to get the fire fully under control before the weather heats up again.
