Body of missing boater in Bighorn Lake recovered, 1 still missing

FORT SMITH – Authorities have recovered the body of a missing Billings man from Bighorn Lake.

The body of 36-year-old Nathan Kelley was recovered Wednesday by divers using an underwater remote operated vehicle. A submerged boat was also located, according to a press release issued Thursday morning.

Crews continue to search for the body of a second man who went missing on Saturday as the result of a boating accident

A Billings woman, Tammy Scoville, was found dead the day of the accident and another man, Robert Ludwich, was found alive at the shore and taken to a Billings hospital.

Authorities have not released what caused the accident or how man watercraft were involved.

Search crews remain on the lake Thursday, and a portion of the lake between Dayboard 6 and 8 has been closed between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
