MISSOULA –

Following a cloudy, breezy, and for some stormy Friday evening and night, we’re back to smoky, mostly sunny, and dry conditions area-wide. We’ll continue to see a mostly clear and hazy sky overnight with Sunday morning lows ranging from the upper 40s to mid-50s.

Sunday will bring a sunny, smoky start with a few showers/storms popping up during the afternoon. The odds of seeing precipitation are very low, and will mainly be confined to the higher elevations. Afternoon highs will reach the middle 80s with a few towns in northwest Montana climbing into the upper 80s.

A weak cold front will swing through on Sunday night increasing our chances of thunderstorms. Again, odds of seeing storms will be low, but a few areas will see lightning and a quick shower. Monday will bring a mix of sun and clouds with a stray thunderstorm. We’ll see cooler highs in the middle to upper 70s.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be sunny with highs in the middle 80s on Tuesday, and middle 80s to 90 on Wednesday.

Smoke will continue to compromise air quality in the coming days.
