Fire crews will remain active on both fires and equipment will continue to use the roads in the Haypress Lakes area.

Officials remind the public to be mindful that firefighters and fire equipment are still actively involved in fire suppression and may be working from nearby roadways.

There has been no increase in acreage for the past couple days on either the Monument and Wigwam Fire.

The Wigwam Fire was detected on August 11th and has now been burning for 11 days. The fires, Monument and Wigwam are located south and west of Ennis, in very rough mountainous terrain, in the 9,000-foot elevation range, within the Gravelly Range Mountains south of Ennis

The Beartooth Wildlife Management Area is closed due to wildfire activity. An area and road closure is in effect for the perimeter of both fires to protect the public.
