MISSOULA – University of Montana President Seth Bodnar rolled up his sleeves and got to work on Saturday by helping new students move into their dorms.

August 25th was the first official move-in day, but students paying for early move in have been pouring in steadily throughout the week filling up the seven dorms on campus. Griz Welcome week brought over 1,000 students and their families to campus over the past few days.

"I think it’s really important that students and families feel incredibly welcome on campus and they get started off on the academic year on a good foot this transition to college is tough for everyone and we want to open the entire arms in this community to make them feel welcome and excited about being here," Bodnar said.

Some of the Grizzly sports teams like football and soccer as well as student groups helped with the move-in day as well.
