1 person hurt in early Monday Bozeman shooting

BOZEMAN – An investigation is underway after an early Monday morning shooting that sent one man to the hospital.

The shooting happened at a hotel on Wheat Drive at approximately 1:35 a.m.

.An adult male received a single, non-life threatening, gunshot wound to the foot, according to a news release.  Law enforcement says the man was taken to Bozeman Health for treatment.

Police were unable to get a good statement as to what happened because of his condition. The incident does appear to be accidental and there is no public safety risk, according to police. 

The man has been released from the hospital and follow-up interviews are scheduled for Monday afternoon. The incident remains under investigation.
