GLACIER NATIONAL PARK – There’s been little change for crews battling the Boundary fire that’s burning in the northeast part of Glacier National Park near the Canadian border.

The 2,125 acre blaze showed some interior burning and multiple areas of smoldering fire and creeping in Boundary Creek, according to fire managers.

Windy weather is expected to continue and the fire may show isolated areas of smoke and increased fire activity.

Structure protection remains in place at Goat Haunt. All of the trails originating at Goat Haunt are closed at this time due to the Boundary fire.

While boat tours operated by Waterton Shoreline Cruise Company are once again landing at Goat Haunt visitors are limited to the boat dock pavilion and restroom area.

The blaze, which was first reported on August 23rd, is burning in the Boundary Creek Valley, near the Campbell Mountain area west of Upper Waterton Lake.

Stage II Fire Restrictions will be lifted across Northwest Montana at 12:01 a.m. on Friday.
