Power restored in Missoula, UM, MCPS schools

UPDATE

MISSOULA – NorthWestern Energy reports that power has been restored to 3,400 customers in Missoula.

The University of Montana and three MCPS schools were among those hit by the outage.

The lights came back on at approximately 8:50 a.m.

There’s no word yet from NorthWestern Energy on the cause of the outage.


MISSOULA – Several thousand NorthWestern Energy customers are in the dark at this hour following a power outage in Missoula.

The utility reports that around  3,400 customers are impacted in the Pattee Canyon area.

The University of Montana is also without power on its main campus as well as several Missoula schools including Hellgate High School.

Missoula County Public Schools reports that Paxson and Lewis and Clark schools are also without power.

Crews have been dispatched. There’s no word yet on what caused the outage or how long it will last.
