Kalipsell men arrested in connection with Northwest MT burglary spree

KALISPELL – A pair of Kalispell men are facing felony charges after authorities say they have been involved in a series of burglaries across Northwest Montana.

Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry says that Montana Kelly, 20, and Richard Chandler, 22, were arrested on Wednesday in Libby in connection with several Lincoln County area burglaries.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating a string of burglaries in the Marion area and Sheriff Curry says Kelly and Chandler are believed to be responsible for at least seven burglaries in Flathead County, as well as a burglary in Lake County.

Sheriff Curry says felony charges are currently pending in Flathead County against Kelly and Chandler.

Kelly was previously arrested in May 2017 for a series of thefts, motor vehicle thefts, and a high-speed pursuit which involved Two Bear Air, according to Sheriff Curry, Kelly has an extensive Felony criminal history. 

Kelly and Chandler are currently being held behind bars at the Lincoln County Detention Center.
